Development and design of a new house.
Black Street is a residential project on Black Street in Pittsburgh, in Allegheny County, measuring 3,400 sf. The house is currently on the boards.
Luca Architects was architect of record, and led both the development and the design of the house. Three storeys of dark standing-seam cladding step down a Pittsburgh hillside, with stacked balconies on the rear elevation and a full-height stair hall bringing daylight into the middle of the plan.
The practice works on residential architecture across Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota counties in Southwest Florida, and around Pittsburgh in Western Pennsylvania. A practice built around site, light, and material.
